11th Dec 1962 - "Youth Club - The Clerk read a letter from the secretary to the Brixham Youth Club Adult Committee stating that the club had an opportunity to purchase the Compton Castle, a vessel which would be suitable for use as a Youth Club and requesting the Council to a) reconsider their decision to refuse a mooring in the Inner Harbour and b) in the alternative to consider a mooring near the Breakwater Hard in the Outer harbour. Recommended that a) the Council adhere to their previous decision as there is insufficient room in the Inner Harbour for the purpose b) that representatives of the Youth Club Adult Committee be invited to meet the Committee at the Breakwater Hard to discuss the Club's requirements."

21st Dec 1962 - "Youth Club - The Committee met representatives of the Brixham Youth Club who showed the Committee the suggested mooring place for the Compton Castle, if purchased by them. Resolved that Councillor F.P. Lee approach Canon Sampson to ascertain whether there was any possibility of the National school being made available for the purposes of the Brixham Youth Club when it is transferred. Recommended that the application be further considered at the January meeting of the Harbour Committee"

8th Jan 1963 - "Youth Club - Following their visiting meeting the Committee considered the request of the Adult Committee of the Club that a mooring be allocated on the Breakwater Hard where a headquarters vessel could be moored. Recommended that the request be refused. Resolved that a meeting of the Harbour Committee and the Youth Club's representatives be held at the Town Hall, Brixham on Tuesday 15th January 1963."

15th Jan 1963 - "Youth Club - The Committee received a deputation from the Brixham Youth Club who asked the Committee to reconsider their previous decision not to allow the Compton Castle to moor in the inner harbour. Dimensions of the vessel were given. After the deputation had left the Committee discussed the matter and recommended that 1) the Harbour Committee be authorised to investigate a scheme for a sea wall (and infilling) from the Southern Quay across to Queen's Quay for improvement of the harbour and 2) the committee adhere to their previous decision with regard to the Compton Castle."

12th Feb. 1963 - "Brixham Youth Club - The Clerk read a request from the club that the Council reconsider their application for a berth in the Inner Harbour. After discussion it was recommended that the Council adhere to their previous decision."

On 19th Feb. the report of the Harbour Committee of 12th Feb. was approved and adopted.
