Presently a film crew arrive at the quayside and there is an explosion on board.

Later Sam has a bright idea in the hotel Kildare. "-with a big TV please Tony, and plenty of beer and sandwiches."

"OK, Sam, but keep your hand screwed on please. Let me get my diary."

It was 1971. Their dreams had been more than fulfilled. The boat had changed their lives, and in a number of unexpected ways.

After the ‘fish finger’ excursion Compton Castle never again moved under her own steam. While she remained tied to the quayside however Harry and Sam still kept the engines running. That was how they originally came to meet Len Gidley. He had sold them coal to fire the boiler. And it was because of steam power a man from the BBC had recently taken an interest .
